Grant Access Guidelines
Grants are paid out on a first-come, first-served basis. Grants are also paid directly to the recipients' debtors, the Mortgage company, utility company, etc...The Monetary Grant is a one-time grant and it can also help women out of a shelter to pay their deposit and first months rent to be placed in a residence. This also applies to men. If a man meets the same criteria, he is also eligible for a grant.
To become a recipient, you must meet the criteria, and your grant application must be approved. Our criteria is below:
- Must be a US Citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- Annual income of $48,000 or under
- Have an active Order of Protection within the last 12 months
- You must be away from your abuser for at least 3 months
- A late payment history record from the court of received or non received child support and/or maintenance payments if it applies.
If you fit this criteria, you may apply and pay the $40 processing fee to be placed on the waiting list.
A friend or relative may pay the processing fee for you if you are unable to pay.
We understand all too well of special circumstances and if you meet most of the criteria, meaning the Order of Protection ordered by the court and the income guideline of $48,000 or under it is likely you would get approved however each case if different.
You will be notified by mail of the status of your grant request. No phone calls pertaining to the application status.

The Grant Processing
Fee covers the hard copy paper application sent via regular post office USPS mail to each would be recipient and the time involved evaluating the application for approval.
Do not call our office asking for the status of your application as you will be notified if you are approved. Do not send fake rent receipts as you will be asked to send in notarized documentation. Failure to send in your application required paperwork within 30 days of your application will cancel it out with no refunds administered.
